You don’t have to spend hours working out or go on a highly restrictive diet to lose weight, look slimmer and feel better. With Elite’s easy walking program, you can accomplish all these goals in just a few simple steps…literally!

The goal of this program is simple–take 10,000 steps a day for 90 days to total 900,000 steps. Why 10,000 steps daily? It’s the number recommended by the Surgeon General and other experts to achieve modest weight loss and maintain health.

Currently, the average American only takes about 6,000 steps per day, with sedentary office workers averaging even less at 3,000 to 4,000 steps per day. By simply raising your daily total to 10,000 steps per day, you can reap significant health benefits!

To help you track your daily total number of steps, simply use the pedometer you were provided and follow the enclosed instructions. After creating your personal account here (it takes just a minute), simply log in and record your daily total at the end of each day.

If you don’t have a pedometer, we’ll be happy to provide you with one. Just call a Member Services team member at any of our clubs.

In addition to the great health benefits you’ll receive from following the Elite Walking Program, Elite is also offering other great rewards.

At the halfway point (450,000 steps), you’ll earn a 30-day guest membership at any of our Elite locations. If you’re already a member, you can use the guest membership for a friend or relative.

When you reach the final goal of 900,000 steps in 90 days, you’ll receive a $50 gift card to be used toward any Elite Clubs services or programs–massage, kids programs, personal fitness instruction, whatever! (Not valid on dues, merchandise or goods sold in the clubs.)
